But There is No Land Near the End

But There is No Land Near the End is a publication and event programme that aims to provide a lateral documentation of responses to a changing climate and resulting existential implications from practitioners both local and international. The project attempts to disrupt collective denial of climate breakdown and trace the movement towards alternative ways of living within the world.

Launched at The Art School, Glasgow (2018), with a programme of artist moving image screenings and newly commissioned performances by Marc Johansen, Jaako Pallasvuo, Maria Sledmere, Sissel Thatsum & Sarah McWhinney.

Curated and edited collaboratively by A+E Collective members Finn Arschavir, Marie Legeudois, Ane Lopez, Jessica Piette & Maria Rose Sledmere.

Supported by Creative Scotland.

Reflections on the publication and event programme by Maria Sledmere.
